Textiles

From spinning to shipping, without losing traceability.

A complex chain, tight collection cycles, extensive subcontracting networks. INFOS has operated in textiles for decades.

Context

The sector,in context.

Portuguese textiles are one of the most internationalised sectors of the national economy, exporting to European and American chains that impose standards of quality, traceability and timing that 1990s operations cannot withstand. Producers in the Ave Valley, Famalicão and Guimarães have faced the same pressure for years: shrinking collection cycles, tightening margins, and a subcontracting network that is ever more geographically distributed (Portugal, Morocco, Turkey, Asia).

In this reality, verticalised software is no longer a management option but a condition for survival.

Deep challenges

Where it hurts intextiles operations.

01

An item-colour-size-batch matrix that explodes combinatorially

A single T-shirt model can have 8 colours × 6 sizes × 4 batches — 192 SKUs in practice, all traced back to the raw material. Generic ERPs break under this combinatorics; they need heavy customisation. An ERP verticalised for textiles (such as MULTI) assumes this structure from the outset.

02

Distributed subcontracting and quality control

Portuguese textile brands frequently subcontract garment-making across multiple units (Portugal + Morocco + Turkey). Coordinating orders, negotiating deadlines, recording defects with photographic evidence and reconciling delivered against invoiced quantities requires a shared B2B platform, not emails and phone calls.

03

Real-time versus after-the-fact costing

When you cost the garment at month-end, the margin you thought you had may have evaporated weeks earlier. Capturing production times as they happen (shop-floor mobility) feeds the real cost of the garment in real time, letting you intervene before the collection closes.

04

Collection cycles and integrated PLM

From the design brief to production — through physical samples, tech packs, bills of materials and pricing — everything has to live in the same system. Integrated PLM + ERP + subcontracting portal eliminate reconciliation cycles and accelerate time-to-market.

How we work

From assessmentto a continuous partnership.

Every INFOS project starts with an on-site assessment and ends in a long-term relationship. It's been this way for 36 years.

  1. 1
    MOVEMENT 01

    On-site assessment

We start by understanding the client's business. Our team visits the premises, talks to the people who will use the solution and maps processes as they actually work.

    • Needs mapping
  2. 2
    MOVEMENT 02

    Solution design

We design the solution together with the client. We define modules, integrations, data to migrate and approval flows. Everything is validated before any configuration.

    Implementation and training

Configuration, role-based training and a controlled pilot before go-live. The INFOS team is on site at go-live to support the switch and handle the unexpected.
