INFOS and FMA support companies in adopting Artificial Intelligence through the “AI in SMEs” programme
INFOS has established a new partnership with Frederico Mendes & Associados (FMA) — a leading consultancy in tax and financial incentives — to support Portuguese companies in accessing funding programmes such as Portugal 2030, the PRR and, in particular, the IFIC – “AI in SMEs” Line.
This initiative represents a strategic opportunity for Portuguese Small and Medium-sized Enterprises to adopt Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions and accelerate their digital transformation, with significant financial support.
Boosting productivity and innovation with Artificial Intelligence
In an increasingly competitive business environment, the adoption of AI is no longer a trend but a necessity. Companies that invest in automation and intelligent data analysis gain agility, reduce costs and improve the quality of their decisions.
Through the INFOS + FMA partnership, INFOS clients now have specialised access to financial support and incentives aimed at accelerating the integration of AI solutions into their business processes.
“IFIC – AI in SMEs Line” programme
The IFIC – “AI in SMEs” Line programme is intended to support projects that promote the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence technologies across different areas of business activity, with the aim of increasing companies' productivity and competitiveness.
The support covers two main types of investment:
1️⃣ AI solutions for productivity
Ready-to-use tools that increase operational efficiency:
Software and SaaS-model subscriptions;
Virtual assistants for task management;
Automatic document analysis tools;
Predictive analysis systems for maintenance.
2️⃣ AI solutions applied to business
Solutions that improve interaction with customers and partners or optimise internal processes:
Customer service chatbots;
Product recommendation systems;
Sales forecasting;
Customer sentiment analysis;
AI-powered inventory optimisation tools.
Funding conditions
The incentives awarded under the “AI in SMEs” Line take the form of a non-repayable incentive, covering up to 75% of eligible expenses, with a maximum support limit of €300,000 per project.
Expenses incurred from 1 January 2025 are considered eligible, provided they are directly related to the development of the project.
Applications are open until 31 October 2025, so interested companies should begin the planning and application process as soon as possible.
Specialised INFOS + FMA support
With this partnership, INFOS and FMA combine technological and strategic expertise to offer companies full support throughout the entire application process, ensuring:
✅ Technical and strategic consultancy tailored to the project's framework;
✅ Identification of the most relevant funding opportunities for each area of investment;
✅ Support in preparing and submitting the application, with technical rigour and regulatory compliance.
This integrated approach allows companies to move forward safely and efficiently, ensuring that the proposed projects fit within the available support lines and the programme's objectives.
